What’s Changing in 2009
 

Your Aetna Public Employees Plan benefits will include two benefit increases in 2009. All other benefits, including your prescription drug coverage, remain the same.

Hearing Aids
Aetna will pay $800 for hearing aids once every three calendar years, up from $400 in 2008. This benefit only applies to hearing aids purchased after January 1, 2009.

Chemical Dependency
Aetna will pay a maximum of $14,500 for inpatient and outpatient services every 24 consecutive months, up from $14,000 in 2008.

Open Enrollment Begins October 27
Aetna Public Employees Plan members can change their health plan for 2009 between October 27 and November 30. For a list of the available choices, rate information and the benefit fair schedule, or to change your health plan for 2009, visit the Public Employees Benefits Board website at www.pebb.hca.wa.gov. If you want to continue your Aetna Public Employees Plan coverage in 2009, no action is required. You will be re-enrolled automatically.
